Job summary

Chubb is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Lines Underwriter in Auckland, New Zealand, to drive profitable growth of the Financial Lines portfolio. You will partner with the Underwriting Manager – Management Liability and Financial Institutions to manage a strategic portfolio, support business development and deliver strong underwriting outcomes.

You will review risks, provide technical underwriting advice, nurture client relationships and mentor the team to achieve high-quality results

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong relationship-building, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in Financial Lines underwriting; exposure to underwriting/marketing, sales/marketing, product management, or financial analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, accept or decline new and renewal risks within Financial Lines.
• Support portfolio analysis, reporting and portfolio maintenance.
• Provide technical underwriting advice to the Manager and team.
• Build relationships with producers and clients to promote Chubb products.
• Support profitable growth through budget planning and strategy development.
• Assist with wording reviews, ad hoc projects and process improvements.
• Mentor and support team development where required.
