OceanaGold is seeking an experienced Underground Mining Engineer for a residential role in Waihi, NZ. The Senior Mining Engineer will lead mine planning and manage a small team of engineers, focusing on development designs, production planning, and short-term scheduling.

The Senior Mining Engineer is a hands-on technical leader responsible for both delivering key mine planning outputs and managing a small team of engineers. Approximately 60% of the role involves completing planning activities directly, including development designs, production planning (stope authorities, drill & blast designs), and short-term scheduling. The remaining 40% focuses on overseeing team deliverables, ensuring alignment with monthly objectives, and mentoring a team of 3–4 engineers across short-term planning, development, and production.
