OceanaGold seeks a senior open pit mining leader to deliver short and medium term mine plans and manage technical services teams in Otago, NZ. This role links long-term planning with operations execution, ensuring safe, economical mining and strong governance of fleet and tools.
You will drive safety, manage contractors, and optimise open pit design, schedules, and costs while collaborating with the Continuous Improvement team. Residential role with a long-weekend roster.

This new position has been created to deliver short and medium term mine plans to enable the safe, efficient and profitable extraction of ore. This role is the key link between the long-term plans originating from the Technical Services and Projects team and the Operations execution.
