Job summary

ACCIONA is leading a major New Zealand transport project, the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana - Ara Tūhono. We are seeking a Tunnel Manager to oversee tunnel safety, maintenance, operational readiness and incident response.

You will report to the Maintenance and Operations Manager and coordinate with NZTA and emergency services. You will plan asset stewardship, drive compliance and keep safety at the centre of every decision, shaping long-term performance for Northland road users on this

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in engineering with tunnel or M&E/ITS focus.
Proven RAMS and lifecycle planning experience.
Demonstrated safety leadership including incident response.
Budgeting, forecasting and contract governance experience.
Experience coordinating with NZTA and emergency services.
Strong stakeholder engagement and team mentoring.

Responsibilities

Lead safe, compliant operation and maintenance of the tunnels.
Lead emergency preparedness and incident response with emergency services and NZTA.
Plan lifecycle, inspection and testing programs for tunnel assets.
Connect design, construction, maintenance and operations teams through delivery.
Review designs and construction for budget, risk and constructability.
Manage budgets, forecasts, contract obligations, extensions of time and claims.
