Job summary

Taituarā is seeking an experienced Programme Delivery Lead for Transportation to oversee procurement, contract management and capital projects within the Council's transportation programme. The role involves technical leadership in contracting with external suppliers, acting as Engineer's Representative on in-house contracts, and managing projects from planning through delivery.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate experience in roading and transportation.
• Experience managing large contracts.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, contract management and capital project delivery for the transportation programme.
• Provide technical leadership in procurement and contracting with third party suppliers.
• Act as Engineer's Representative on in-house contracts and manage projects from planning to delivery.
• Compile work programmes from asset management data and undertake tender evaluations.
• Supervise construction to ensure design requirements are met and process claims.
