Job summary

Aurecon Group in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Structural Transmission Line Engineer to join our Transmission Line Engineering team across Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington or Christchurch. You’ll contribute to projects that strengthen communities and deliver safe, reliable infrastructure.

You will personally design and analyse transmission towers and overhead line structures, applying PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE, producing calculations, drawings and technical reports for high-quality

Qualifications

• A relevant structural engineering qualification and demonstrated experience in transmission structure design.
• Hands-on professional experience using PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE.
• Experience designing transmission towers, poles or overhead line structures.
• Evidence of completing structural designs, calculations, drawings and technical reports.
• Strong technical capability from relevant industry experience and ongoing hands-on design work.
• Ability to contribute as a practising designer, not only in management or coordination.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Personally design and analyse transmission towers, poles and overhead line structures.
• Apply PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE to develop practical, high-quality structural design solutions.
• Produce structural calculations, drawings and technical design reports supporting safety and reliability.
• Contribute to technical reviews and delivery of accurate design deliverables.
• Help shape practical structural design standards and repeatable processes within the team.
• Collaborate with electrical, civil and multidisciplinary teams across locations.
