Job summary

Buddle Findlay seeks an experienced TMT/IT lawyer with 8+ years of legal experience to join our market-leading Technology, Media and Telecommunications team in Auckland, New Zealand. You will work with recognised experts and a collaborative team focused on high-quality, commercially savvy advice.

In this senior role, you will own matters, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to business development in the TMT space while collaborating with our corporate M&A group on tech and telco transactions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' TMT-focused legal experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Proven ability to advise on technology procurement, privacy, data protection and cyber.
• Strong collaboration, client-relations, and contribution to team culture.
• Interest in developing profile and contributing to business development in TMT.
• Willingness to relocate to New Zealand and admission in NZ/Australia/UK.

• Take ownership of matters and work directly with clients.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to development.
• Support business development initiatives in the TMT sector.
