Job summary

PwC New Zealand in Auckland is seeking a Senior Talent Strategy Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will help unlock resourcing for the Advisory practice and ensure engagements are appropriately staffed.

You will work with Workforce Solutions, Advisory Partners, and Engagement Managers to allocate resources, produce reports, and provide insights into capacity and demand trends. The role involves partnering with offshore and contractor resources, designing contingent workforce

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years' experience in a detail-driven resourcing or talent acquisition role, preferably in a large organisation.
  • Experience producing high quality reports and working with complex systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal, able to build rapport with the wider team and business.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suites and comfortable with AI applications to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Gather information to understand client engagement resourcing requirements with Engagement managers and Partners.
  • Train Advisory staff on upcoming skills-based resourcing system and produce leadership reports on metrics and trends.
  • Design and implement a contingent workforce deployment process for contractors and offshore resources.
  • Coordinate resource allocation for current and future engagements across Consulting.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Advisory practice, clients, capabilities and people.
  • Champion the use and accuracy of skills data to place the right people on engagements.

Join PwC as a Senior Talent Strategy Advisor on a 12-month Fixed term contract in TāmakiMakaurau / Auckland, where you will play a pivotal role in unlocking resourcing support for the Advisory practice. Reporting into the National Workforce Solutions Manager, you will ensure current and future engagements are appropriately resourced by deploying local talent and leveraging broader workforce solutions (such as offshore, contractors or secondments).

Your key responsibilities include working closely with the Workforce Solutions team, Advisory Partners, Engagement Managers, and Resourcing Champions to provide solutions to resource requests and optimize utilisation across the Advisory practice by providing insights into areas of capacity, constraints and demand trends.

The position will require daily interaction with senior PwC stakeholders to gain visibility of upcoming engagements, identify required capabilities and strategically allocate and re-allocate resources to meet evolving business needs. This position deals with confidential information on a regular basis.

You will also support the design and implementation of a contingent workforce deployment process that enables efficient and streamlined management of contractors and offshore resources.

Your day-to-day could include:

Work with Engagement managers and Partners to gather information to understand client engagement resourcing requirements.

Champion the use of existing resourcing systems while playing a key role in training Advisory staff on the upcoming skills-based resourcing system, as well as producing reports for leadership that highlight resourcing metrics, key trends, and opportunities to uplift operational excellence

Support the design and implementation of a contingent workforce deployment process that enables efficient and streamlined management of contractors and offshore resources

Coordinate and plan the allocation of resources for current and future engagements in Consulting and respond to requests from Engagement Managers and the wider business.

Maintain a thorough understanding of the Advisory practice, our clients, our capabilities, service offerings, prioritysectors and our people.

Champion the use and accuracy of skills data to ensure the best people are allocated to the right engagements.

2-4 years' experience working in a detail-driven resourcing or talent acquisition role, preferably in a large organisation, ideally in professional services or human resources

Experience producing high quality reports and working with complex systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal, approachable and able to build rapport with the wider team and business.

Proficiency working with Microsoft suites.

A strong understanding of AI applications and the ability to leverage automation tools to enhance productivity and streamline resourcing processes.
