Job summary

Fulton Hogan Limited is seeking an experienced Structures - Project Engineer to join the Ōtaki to North Levin (Te Pae o Tararua) four-lane highway project. You will lead teams, coordinate with allied partners and drive safe, on-time delivery for this Roads of National Significance project.

You will plan construction methodologies, review technical drawings, manage costs, and mentor other engineers as part of a two-alliance delivery model in the Horowhenua region.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Site Engineer within a structures civil portfolio.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, bridges, retaining walls, piling, and pipelines.
• Working with contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• NZQF Level 7+ Civil Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience and commercial awareness of programme, cost, quality and risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams and subcontractors within your area and coordinate with other teams.
• Plan execution of works and develop construction methodologies for all elements.
• Provide monthly forecast of cost to complete to the commercial manager and progress to planners.
• Provide technical advice and resolve on-site issues as they arise.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
• Maintain a safe and tidy site and ensure compliance.
• Monitor expenses, process invoices, and contribute to financial reporting.
• Undertake regular site inspections and drive safety, environmental and quality standards.
