Job summary

BG&E is seeking an Experienced Intermediate/Senior Structural Engineer to join our Christchurch or Whangārei team. With 4–10 years of consultant or construction experience (minimum 2 years NZ-specific), you will deliver a range of structural design packages and contribute to project delivery.

You will work with a supportive team, delivering innovative yet pragmatic solutions while managing projects to high standards.

Qualifications

4 year bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Washington Accord Equivalent).
Strong understanding of NZ Standards and Codes.
Attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind.
Ability to establish trusted relationships both internally and externally.
Motivated and autonomous team player who values collaboration.
Strong written and verbal communication with a customer service focus.

Responsibilities

Delivery of structural design packages, including calculations, drawings and specifications for a variety of systems.
Coordination with BG&E team and externally with Architects, Contractors and other disciplines.
Managing and delivering projects on time, within budget and to a high standard with team support.
Providing innovative yet practical technical solutions for clients.
