Job summary
NPAworldwide is seeking a Structural Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) in Christchurch to work on a range of commercial, industrial, and new-build projects. You will design across steel, concrete and timber structures and manage projects from concept through construction.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of structural engineering experience, strong fundamentals, and good communication. CPEng progression is advantageous, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Ideally 3+ years structural engineering experience
- Strong structural design fundamentals
- Experience with steel, concrete and timber structures
- Good understanding of New Zealand engineering standards
- Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in consulting engineering
Responsibilities
- Commercial and industrial building structures design
- Structural design across steel, concrete and timber
- New-build and existing structures analysis
- Structural analysis and engineering documentation
- Managing projects from concept through construction
- Working with architects, contractors and other consultants
- Construction monitoring and technical support
- Client management and project coordination
