Job summary

PTL Structural & Fire are seeking a senior structural engineer to join their Queenstown team. The role supports active Queenstown projects and liaises with Christchurch and Auckland offices to grow the local presence.

The successful candidate will lead design and monitoring of projects, mentor a small local team, and contribute to PTL's growth in Queenstown. A strong track record and NZ-based experience are required.

Qualifications

• Holds internationally recognised tertiary degree in structural engineering.
• Chartered structural engineer or on track to gain chartership.
• Proven track record leading design and monitoring of construction projects.
• Strong emphasis on people, relationships and knowledge sharing.
• Interest in mass timber design and growth of local capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and monitoring of construction projects.
• Support a strong portfolio of active Queenstown projects.
• Work closely with Christchurch and Auckland offices.
• Build and mentor a small local team of structural and fire engineers.
• Contribute to the continued growth of PTL's Queenstown presence.
