Westpac New Zealand is seeking an experienced mainframe specialist with COBOL, DB2, and JCL expertise to support the bank's core systems. You will analyse, develop, and maintain high-quality applications while mentoring peers and leading initiatives.
The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and Agile delivery experience, with after-hours support as needed. You will work in Auckland, contributing to secure, scalable IT solutions in a collaborative environment.

Our IBM mainframe runs the bank’s core systems, and we are looking for someone who can provide technical domain expertise in CICS/COBOL/DB2, covering all aspects including development, unit test, system test, and implementation of software solutions. You will analyse, develop, and maintain high quality applications as well as providing mentorship and leadership.
