Job summary

Digiscale in Napier, New Zealand seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain complex software systems. You will work with engineers, designers and product managers to deliver high‑quality software solutions that meet client needs and project timelines.

You will lead, review code, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices across the full development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue for web development.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices, Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues.
