Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Senior Site Manager to join our Christchurch team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee on-site operations, including programming, coordination of subcontractors, and logistics management.

Key duties include driving safety, coordinating multi-disciplinary construction activities, chairing site meetings, and ensuring delivery aligns with contract requirements and schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in building/construction or equivalent.
• Experience delivering large building projects for a principal contractor.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
• Autonomy, initiative and sound decision-making.
• Proven ability to lead a results-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Proactively drive safety, environment and quality policies, practices and procedures on site.
• Coordinate all construction activities on and off site and ensure compliance with conditions and regulations.
• Call and chair site co-ordination meetings with subcontractors, suppliers and design team to discuss progress and coordination.
• Review the construction programme and resequence to achieve the programmed completion date.
• Ensure on-site delivery aligns with contract documents and subcontractor scope.
