Job summary

Ballance Agri-Nutrients, Rolleston, South Island, seeks a Senior Service Centre Manager to lead Upper South Island regional service centre teams. You will ensure right product delivery, drive customer value, and uphold a safety-first culture while managing cost centres, assets and performance across the cohort.

You will coach teams, partner with the Regional Distribution Manager, and advance continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence and excellent customer outcomes for

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with direct accountability for people across multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of the NZ rural sector and practical customer service experience.
• Experience managing cost centres, budgets, inventory, site assets and operational performance.
• Operational HSE experience with WHSE knowledge.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building, proficient in MS Office; SAP advantageous.

• Lead and support service centre teams across the Upper South Island region.
• Partner with the Regional Distribution Manager and wider Supply Chain team to implement strategies and regional initiatives.
• Manage service centre cost centres, OPEX/CAPEX processes, inventory and site assets.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Senior Service Centre Manager, you will lead Ballance's Upper South Island regional service centre teams, ensuring the right product is delivered at the right time while keeping customer value and experience at the centre of everything we do. You will create a culture of coaching and continuous improvement, with accountability for cost centre control, safety and wellbeing, product quality, asset care, and consistent performance across the service centre cohort.

• Lead and support service centre teams across the Upper South Island region.
• Partner with the Regional Distribution Manager and wider Supply Chain team to execute strategies, policies and regional initiatives.
• Manage and monitor service centre cost centres, OPEX/CAPEX processes, inventory and site assets.
• Build a high-performance, values-led team culture through coaching, communication, development and proactive performance management.
• Take ownership of Safety, Health and Environmental risks across the cohort, ensuring a strong Zero Harm focus.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a confident operational leader who can bring people together, build strong relationships and drive consistent performance across a multi-site environment. You will balance customer focus, commercial discipline and safety leadership while coaching your team to deliver great outcomes.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

• Leadership experience with direct accountability for people, ideally across a multi-site operation.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand rural sector and a practical understanding of customer service in an operational environment.
• Experience managing cost centres, budgets, inventory, site assets and operational performance.
• Operational health, safety and environmental experience, with sound knowledge of WHSE requirements.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems; SAP experience and relevant licences are advantageous.
