Job summary

Ballance Agri-Nutrients is seeking an Integrated Tactical Planner to bridge strategic planning and day-to-day execution. You will lead the tactical planning horizon and balance customer service, inventory, production capability and financial performance.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Finance, you will turn market demand into executable plans that meet growing customer needs and drive business outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in operational, tactical planning, demand, supply, S&OP or IBP.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or agribusiness.
• Proven ability to analyse information and manage priorities.

ITP PLANNER

At Ballance, we help New Zealand farmers grow productively and sustainably. In this role, your planning expertise will help keep the right products moving at the right time, making a real difference for our customers in a seasonal environment.

As we continue to strengthen our planning capability, we are seeking an experienced Integrated Tactical Planner to connect our commercial, operational, and supply chain functions and translate market demand into executable supply chain plans.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is the bridge between strategic planning and day-to-day execution where you will lead the tactical planning horizon, ensuring optimal balance between customer service, inventory investment, production capability, and financial performance. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance to drive and deliver the best outcomes for our customers and business.

Key Responsibilities:

The Integrated Tactical Planner (ITP) will be responsible for leading tactical planning across key supply, operations & sales functions to ensure Ballance can meet our growing customer needs.

In this role, you will be at the centre of our planning process, bringing teams together and turning insights into practical plans that help Ballance deliver for our customers. You will:

• Lead and coordinate the Integrated Tactical Planning process, translating commercial demand into practical, executable supply chain plans.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Finance to align business priorities, customer requirements and operational capability.
• Identify supply and demand risks, constraints and opportunities, providing clear analysis, scenarios and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Optimise inventory, production and logistics plans to maintain product availability, service levels and efficient use of working capital.
• Monitor planning performance, reporting and key metrics, while driving continuous improvement across planning processes and ways of working.

Ideally you will have:

• Strong planning experience across operational, tactical, demand, supply, S&OP, IBP or related disciplines.
• Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or agribusiness environments.
• Proven ability to analyse information, manage competing priorities and influence effective business decisions.
