Job summary

Mt Roskill Primary School in Auckland is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate certificated teacher to join our vibrant, multicultural community. The role is in the senior end of the school (Years 1–8) with a start date of 2 February 2027 on a fixed-term basis ending 16 December 2027.

The successful candidate will create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that supports student learning and is culturally responsive to all learners.

Qualifications

• Must be a certificated NZ teacher with current registration.
• Experience teaching Years 1–8.
• Ability to create engaging, inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 1–8 with flexibility for senior end roles.
• Deliver programmes in English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori and The arts.
• Collaborate with a supportive team within the Mt Roskill Campus.

The role would be in the senior end of the school. We are looking for a teacher that is able to create an engaging, inclusive environment that supports student learning and is culturally responsive to all learners.

We are a well resourced school with a support staff who are warm and welcoming. We have a wonderful community that sees families, students and staff working together to achieve the best outcomes for all learners.

Our school is also part of the Mt Roskill Campus, this is made up of three schools. We all work together to ensure our students from Year 1 - Year 13 achieve well.
