Job summary

Tribe Group in Wellington is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead Phase One of a major enterprise transformation programme within a large public sector environment. The role focuses on upgrading HR, Workforce Management and Payroll systems with a strong SAP component, and requires delivery leadership across multiple vendors and senior stakeholders.

You will own Phase One, shape the Business Case, manage governance and risk, and drive organisational change to achieve adoption

Qualifications

• Extensive senior-level programme management experience in complex enterprise transformations.
• Proven ability to manage multi-vendor delivery and governance.
• Experience delivering HR, payroll, or enterprise platform transformations.
• Public sector experience in large organisations.
• NZ Police experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Phase One delivery of the ERM programme.
• Oversee HR, Workforce Management and Payroll system upgrades.
• Develop and implement the Phase One Business Case.
• Support Phase Two development.
• Establish programme governance and reporting.
• Manage multiple technology and delivery vendors.
• Develop and manage the commercial delivery model.
• Engage with executive sponsors and senior stakeholders.
• Challenge existing practices constructively.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Ensure alignment of tech, processes and change activities.
• Foster a delivery-oriented programme culture.
