Target Furniture is seeking a Senior Sales Consultant in New Zealand. You will drive sales performance and act as a key escalation point when the Sales Manager is unavailable.
You will meet and surpass sales targets through deep product knowledge and tailoring solutions to customer needs, while stepping into a leadership role to resolve escalated issues and maintain smooth store operations. Weekend work is required.
As the Senior Sales Consultant, you will be primarily focused on delivering exceptional sales performance while also serving as a key point of escalation for issues in the absence of the Sales Manager.
As a high-achieving sales consultant, you will be expected to meet and surpass sales targets through a deep understanding of our product offerings and the ability to tailor these to customer needs.
In addition to driving sales, your role involves stepping into a leadership position as needed, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring smooth store operations. This dual function requires excellent sales acumen, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and strong leadership skills.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual who ensures customer service is not an afterthought, but an intrinsic part of the sales process.
Just so you know, this is a full-time role, and the successful candidate will be rostered to work 40 hours per week over 5 days, including Saturday or Sunday. With our exciting new Westgate store upcoming, successful applicants will initially be based at our Sylvia Park or Wairau store before moving across to Westgate when the new store opens.
To succeed in this role, you'll have at least 3 years' experience in a sales consultant role, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
As with any retail role, you'll be required to work weekends and public holidays during our trading hours. The good news? We don't do late-night trading... ever!
Previous customer service experience within the furniture industry would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. We have a structured training programme to help you learn the Target Furniture way and set you up for success.
