KIWI NZ VENTURE LIMITED T/a Casa Beds & Appliances, The Bedroom Store & Furniture Clearance Outlet is a 100% homegrown Kiwi furniture retailer. We help Kiwis create homes they love by offering quality furniture, appliances, great service and flexible payment options. Customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do, and we are always evolving to give our customers a better showroom, online and after sales experience.

We know exactly who we are looking for.

We are looking for a confident, motivated and customer focused Retail Sales Assistant who understands furniture, enjoys working with people, follows up properly, and knows how to turn enquiries into sales.

This role is ideal for someone who can handle showroom customers, online enquiries, phone calls, finance applications and daily retail tasks with confidence and professionalism.

About the role

You will be the face of our showroom, helping customers choose the right lounge suite, bedroom furniture, dining furniture, appliance or home furniture piece for their needs.

This is not just a showroom sales role. We receive regular enquiries through Facebook, Google, website leads, phone calls and walk ins. You will be expected to respond quickly, make regular follow up calls, answer questions clearly, and help convert enquiries into store visits and sales.

We also offer customer finance options, so experience or understanding of finance applications, payment plans or retail finance will be a strong advantage.

Weekend work is compulsory for this role. Applicants must be available to work weekends as part of the normal roster.

Key responsibilities
  • Greet and engage with customers in the showroom, creating a welcoming and professional experience
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable furniture, appliances and homeware products
  • Explain product features, delivery options, warranty information and payment options clearly

  • Convert enquiries into showroom visits, finance applications and sales
  • Assist customers through the finance application and approval process
  • Ensure customer details, sales notes and finance documentation are completed accurately
  • Use POS systems, CRM tools, MS Office and basic computer software to manage sales and customer records
  • Identify upselling opportunities and recommend suitable add ons and complementary products
  • Support daily stock tasks including stock movement, tagging, labelling and delivery coordination
  • Help maintain showroom presentation, merchandising and brand standards
  • Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally
  • Work towards individual and team sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Assist with basic marketing assets for social media, email campaigns and in store promotions when required
What we are looking for
To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products
  • Confidence using POS systems, CRM tools and basic computer software
  • Strong attention to detail when handling customer records, sales notes and finance documents
  • Professional presentation and a positive attitude
  • Reliability, initiative and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work towards sales targets
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required
  • Physical fitness to assist with furniture movement when needed, with team support

Experience with customer finance options, payment plans or finance applications will be a strong advantage.
