Job summary
OJI Fibre Solutions is seeking a Reliability Engineer at its Mangere Bridge site in Auckland. You will lead predictive and preventative maintenance programs to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime, reporting to the Engineering Manager and collaborating with production and other departments.
The role requires 3+ years in reliability engineering, experience with pneumatics/hydraulics, and strong RCA facilitation. Lean training and CMMS experience are advantageous.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Reliability Engineering role with successful projects
- Experience improving machinery reliability in high-speed manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems; engineering methods apply
Responsibilities
- Lead the site's predictive and preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime
- Review results and optimize maintenance schedules for reliability improvements
- Resolve major breakdowns using RCA and cross-functional collaboration
- Teach reliability techniques to maintenance and production staff
- Drive continuous improvement with the maintenance team on equipment/process enhancements
- Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors
- Support Health & Safety culture within the team
