Job summary

China Railway Construction Group in Queenstown, New Zealand seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage monthly progress claims, forecast cashflow, and support cost control across civil and building projects.

The role involves preparing Variation Orders and Loss and Expense claims, measuring quantities, preparing BOQs for tenders and payments, and coordinating with clients, consultants and subcontractors to settle accounts and final invoices.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Building/Structural Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• High proficiency in measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a quantity surveying firm; or main contractor for civil/building works in Singapore.
• Able to work under pressure, and multitask.
• Responsible, high initiative, resourceful and meticulous.
• Good ability in negotiation with client and subcontractors on Variation Order.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly progress claims, settlewith the consultants on monthly payment, evaluate and forecast monthlycashflow, budget projection and cost control monitoring sheet
• Assess and prepare Variation Orders andLoss and Expense Claim, deal with client and consultants on the VO differences,settle the Main Contracts final account
• Measurement of quantities and taking off.Preparing Bill of Quantities for project during tender, construction, sourcing,variation and payment verifications.
• Compare drawings to identify differencesfrom contract requirements for claims
• Coordination with other department and liaisewith subcontractors and clients
• Perform any other duties as assigned bythe supervisor from time to time
