Job summary

Digitalgarage in Auckland is seeking a Senior Tester to own the QA space, drive automation, and work with AI-assisted tools in a hybrid setup. You will shape testing practices, mentor teammates, and help migrate to modern frameworks while partnering with engineers and stakeholders across global projects.

The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to experiment with cutting-edge AI-enabled testing approaches in a high-growth product house.

Qualifications

• Two years of tenure in each role is preferred.
• Proven coding skills in C#, SQL or Python to read and modify automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Xray for test management.
• Confident communication with engineers and stakeholders.
• Interest in AI-assisted testing capabilities and adopting new tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage testing for each software release, including regression testing and go/no-go reporting.
• Create, run, and maintain manual and automated test suites.
• Read, review, and validate AI-generated test code before deployment via Jenkins.
• Collaborate with software engineers to understand features and define user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Continuously improve test systems with an eye toward future framework migrations.
• Provide occasional high-level technical support to internal customer-facing teams.
