Job summary

Icon is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Auckland to join a large, diversified construction business with projects across Australia and New Zealand. The role involves collaborating with the project manager and team to ensure timely delivery within budget on vertical build projects.

You will coordinate procurement, subcontractor communications, and documentation management, contributing to high-quality construction delivery across the organisation.

Job Responsibilities

We're looking for a driven Senior Project Engineer to join our team to work within new business or onsite you will collaborate closely with the project manager, work stream leads, and other team members to ensure timely delivery of program phases within budget constraints.

Skills And Attributes

• Proven project coordination experience in a large construction team, within a large organisation with strong levels of judgement & discretion
• Strong focus on construction delivery quality, and embedment of company processes into the project
• Ability to perform all duties with high degree of accuracy & confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal communication & people management skills
• Excellent time management skills & the ability to organise & prioritise own workload
• Proven ability to organise & prioritise tasks; proactive with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform & contribute within a team environment
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff & management, both internal & external

Qualifications:

• Tertiary degree, preferably Construction Management or Engineering
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in large scale vertical build projects
• Large scale project experience on vertical builds from $70m
• Strong skills in procurement, services coordination and documentation management
• Ability to interpret drawings, manage subcontractor communication and support project delivery
