Job summary

Contact Energy Ltd in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Project Electrical Engineer to lead client-side electrical projects across the full lifecycle from design to commissioning. Based in Clyde or Christchurch, you’ll coordinate design reviews, procurement, and site activities, delivering assets for the renewable generation fleet with safety and quality as guiding principles.

You’ll bring an electrical engineering degree, professional registration, and strong project controls experience, plus

Relevant electrical/engineering degree with professional registration.
Experience leading client-side electrical projects through design to commissioning.
Strong understanding of project controls, risk, quality, scheduling and handover.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering projects across the full lifecycle from design to commissioning.
Review technical designs, manage procurement, and coordinate site activities.
Deliver assets for renewable generation with focus on safety, reliability and cost control.
Collaborate with Project Managers, contractors and operations teams; mentor others.
