Job summary

Worley in Christchurch is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who combines technical leadership with project delivery responsibilities. You'll lead electrical design across feasibility, FEED and detailed design, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client and project objectives.

Based in our Christchurch office, you’ll work on energy, resources and industrial projects, ensuring safe, sustainable outcomes and active stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (NZ)
• Significant NZ electrical experience in consulting/industrial environments
• Proven leadership in electrical design and delivery
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and project interfaces
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• CPEng registration or ability to obtain in NZ
• Ability to balance technical excellence with project outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design and technical delivery across feasibility, FEED and detailed design phases.
• Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
• Support project planning, scheduling, forecasting and risk management.
• Manage interfaces with clients, vendors and contractors.
• Monitor scope, budget and schedule, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments and project meetings.
• Contribute to safe, efficient and sustainable project delivery.
