Job summary

Datacom Connect in Auckland seeks a Project Billing Specialist to drive accurate project billing and financial reporting. You will handle budgets, revenue recognition, WIP, and deferred revenue, while ensuring project data supports reliable analytics.

Ideal candidates have CA/CPA qualification and a degree in accounting, with 2+ years in project-based finance, experience with ERP systems, and strong Excel skills. A collaborative, detail‑focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Project administration and billing.
• Manage project financials: budgets, billing rules, revenue recognition, WIP, and deferred revenue.
• Review project setup in SuiteProjects Pro to support revenue and margin reporting.
• Identify and investigate data issues impacting reporting quality or outcomes.
• Support Team Manager and Team Leads with financial insight.
• Collaborate with Project, Process & Reporting Analyst, Revenue Team, Finance and stakeholders.
• Contribute to improvements in reporting, data quality and analytics.
• Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.
