Job summary

Worley Consulting’s Power Networks team seeks a Principal Power System Engineer to deliver grid connection activities for large renewable projects across the NEM and WEM. You will engage with regulators, NSPs and clients, applying PSCAD/PSS/E/DIgSILENT tools and leading power system studies.

You will work under the Technical Director, guiding modelling, regulatory submissions and commissioning compliance while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in power systems, grid studies or renewable energy projects (NEM/WEM).
• Knowledge of NER/ESM Rules and NSP connection requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support grid connection activities from feasibility to generator registration and commissioning.
• Coordinate, review and contribute to power system studies and grid modelling.
• Prepare technical documentation and regulatory submissions.
• Engage with regulators, NSPs and clients as a technical lead on grid connection.
