Worley Consulting is seeking a Principal Power System Engineer to lead grid connection activities for large-scale renewable projects across Australia and NZ. You will work with a team of specialists on NEM/WEM studies, regulatory submissions and modelling coordination, delivering high-integrity solutions from feasibility to commissioning.

You will mentor junior engineers, engage with regulators and NSPs, and contribute to Worley’s energy transition focus through innovative, compliant project

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
• Experience in power systems, grid studies or renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of NEM/WEM rules and NSP connection requirements.
• Experience supporting hold point testing and commissioning activities.
• Proficient with PSCAD, PSS/E and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and automation tools.
• Strong analytical capability and technical report writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support grid connection activities from feasibility to commissioning.
• Prepare and manage connection enquiries and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate power system studies and grid modelling tasks using PSCAD, PSS/E or DIgSILENT.
• Support GPS compliance, testing and model validation processes.
• Prepare technical reports and regulatory correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan grid programs and manage risk.
• Engage with regulators, NSPs and clients, providing technical leadership.
• Maintain awareness of NEM/WEM frameworks and related processes.
• Mentor less experienced team members across grid connection workstream.
