Job summary

The New Zealand Customs Service is seeking a Senior Advisor in Enterprise Services to lead a major programme of policy review and improvement. You will translate complex requirements into clear, practical policies and guidance, and work with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end review and refresh of Enterprise Services policies.
• Translate complex legislative and organisational requirements into clear, practical policy solutions.
• Develop and manage a structured programme of policy work with milestones and deliverables.
• Analyse policy risks, gaps and opportunities and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Draft and quality-assure policy documents and supporting materials.
• Engage with subject matter experts, leaders, managers, legal and risk teams to ensure fit-for-purpose policies.
• Coordinate consultation, governance and approval processes and support implementation.
