The New Zealand Customs Service is looking for an experienced senior advisor to join our Enterprise Services team. We're seeking someone who can quickly understand complex organisational requirements, work with a wide range of stakeholders, and turn those requirements into clear, practical and accessible policies and guidance.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a significant programme of policy review and update work, ensuring Enterprise Services policies remain current, practical, accessible and aligned with legislation, organisational priorities and best practice.
You’ll be working across a diverse range of policy areas, helping strengthen the framework that supports our people, leaders and organisational performance.
This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, navigate complexity, build relationships quickly and deliver high-quality work with minimal direction.
Reporting to the Principal Advisor, Enterprise Services, you will lead the end-to-end review and refresh of Enterprise Services policies, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the process.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring experience leading complex pieces of organisational work, whether in policy, governance, organisational development, risk, compliance, HR, business improvement or a related environment. You'll have a proven ability to analyse information, work across stakeholders and deliver practical solutions that support organisational outcomes. You'll also demonstrate :
