Job summary

Visy seeks a Plant Manager for its Plastics site in Auckland, NZ. You will lead a senior leadership team and be accountable for safety, quality, cost and customer delivery, driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence across the plant.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, Plastics, you will manage budgets, schedules, and continuous improvement programs while partnering with commercial and NPD teams to meet customer requirements and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong experience managing plant performance, budgets and P&L.
• Experience driving continuous improvement (Lean, CI, Six Sigma or similar).
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial and operational decision-making capability.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with OH&S and environmental standards.
• Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Own plant financial performance including budgets, forecasting and cost control.
• Partner with commercial and NPD teams to support customer outcomes and growth.
• Improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency across the site.
• Lead, coach and develop leaders to build capability and succession.
• Drive structured problem solving and performance routines across operations.
