Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst for our Queenstown facility. The role focuses on analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, with responsibility for method validation, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a chemistry degree (BSc or MSc) and at least 5 years of QC experience, with hands-on use of HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fischer, and dissolution equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on QC Analyst experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instruments: HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fischer, dissolution testers.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of analytical tests on materials and finished products.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, dissolution testers).
• Develop and validate analytical methods per ICH guidelines; transfer methods.
• Analyze data, prepare certificates of analysis and reports; investigate OOS and deviations.
• Assist in audits and maintain cGMP/GLP compliance.
