Job summary

Starship Child Health, part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, in Auckland, seeks a highly motivated senior social worker for a Practice Supervisor role. You will provide advanced clinical leadership, supervise team members, and manage complex cases within the Paediatric Social Work service.

The position covers inpatients and outpatients, supports the wider Auckland region, and involves on-call weekend cover as part of the service delivery.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work and APCA registration.
• Proven supervision, mentoring, and clinical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced/senior level clinical practice and supervise team members.
• Support management of complex cases and model evidence-informed practice.
• Collaborate with Paediatric Social Work Clinical Lead and wider team.
