Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to support packaging equipment across New Zealand. The primary location is Hamilton with interstate travel as required. You will supervise installation, perform maintenance, and provide client training while maintaining records and inventory.

Ideal candidates have electrical/ mechanical qualifications, strong communication, and a willingness to travel, including weekends, to ensure service excellence for customers.

Qualifications

• A Grade Electrical License or Mechanical Fitter with restricted electrical license.
• Experience in manufacturing or service-based industry.
• Hands-on experience with equipment installation, ideally packaging machinery.
• Willingness to travel, including weekends; strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Sealed Air packaging equipment at customer sites.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics.
• Educate customers on equipment usage and maintenance practices.
• Collaborate on audits, proposals and competitive analyses with Sales.
• Maintain service records and manage spare parts inventory.
