Job summary

Rainbow Centre is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its Therapy Services team in Wellington. The role involves delivering high-quality therapy and psychological services across settings including early intervention, schools, and community outreach.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to improve client independence and outcomes. The post requires a recognised OT degree with registration eligibility under the Allied Health Professions Act.

Qualifications

• Degree or post-graduate qualification in occupational therapy
• Eligible for registration under Allied Health Professions Act 2011
• Good communications skills for stakeholders and collaboration
• Able to handle physical demands of the role (lifting)

Responsibilities

• Use assessment tools to identify therapy needs across diverse settings
• Develop outcome-based care plans and implement/evaluate interventions
• Deliver individual and group interventions with evidence-based approaches
• Complete specialist reports and required documentation
• Prioritise and manage caseload under supervision
• Contribute to development of protocols and clinical guidelines
• Maintain client records and ensure safeguarding and safety policies
