Job summary

Rosehill School in South Auckland is seeking a solution-focused Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated therapy team.

You will join a cross-disciplinary team to maximise student participation in learning and daily life, travelling between sites with a petrol allowance and contributing to professional development and community presentations.

Are you passionate about empowering young people with diverse needs to achieve real-life success? Rosehill School in South Auckland is seeking a solution-focused Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated therapy team.

Rosehill is a large, multicultural specialist school for students aged 5-21 years. With 40% of our learners identifying as Māori and 50% diagnosed with Autism, we celebrate diversity and promote best practice. Our school includes a base school, 14 satellite classes in mainstream schools, and a transition unit supporting independence and life skills for young people aged 18-21. Travel between sites is required, with a petrol allowance provided.

You will join a collaborative team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Therapists, and Psychologists, working together to maximise student participation in learning and everyday life.

Working with a set caseload, you will partner with class teams, whānau, and therapists to identify priorities, implement programmes, and evaluate outcomes.

About you

• Interest in paediatrics and special education

• Positive, flexible, solution-focused approach
• Ability to work effectively within a culturally diverse community

Experience with postural management and wheelchair/seating systems is an advantage.

Remuneration is based on the Ministry of Education's Kaiārahi i te Reo and Therapists' Collective Agreement. A 0.8 FTE position may be considered for the right candidate.
