As an integral member of Winslow Technology Group, LLC (WTG), Senior Professional Services Engineers (PSEs) work directly with WTG customers, in collaboration with the rest of the WTG team, to install, configure, manage, secure, and maintain their systems. PSEs work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with exposure to different systems and delivery methodologies. In this role, a PSE will have the opportunity to learn from other highly successful IT professionals, sharply honing their technical skills. Additionally, Senior PSEs provide thought leadership, guidance, and oversight by “leading by example”.
The Senior Network Professional Services Engineer is a delivery engineer with specific expertise in the installation and maintenance of various hardware and software platforms. PSEs work directly with WTG’s Project Managers, Account Executives, and Solution Architects. To be highly effective in this role, a qualified PSE must attend training and maintain industry-specific certifications for installation, have outstanding customer service and critical thinking skills, and can implement a solution designed by WTG’s Solution Architects. For clarity, in this role, network is generally defined as true LAN/WAN network infrastructure engineering, including routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies (network does not refer to Windows Server/Active Directory or general systems administration).
A Senior PSE also contributes to the business as a whole by having:
- A passion for positive customer outcomes
- A strong desire to expand their technical skills, knowledge of IT solutions, and delivery experience
- Ability to express empathy for internal and external situations
- Contextual awareness and strong analytical/critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Collaborative working relationships with sales to identify and develop opportunities
- Responsibility and ownership for problems with projects within his or her primary technical competency (networking)
