Job summary

CBS, a Hamilton-based IT business, is seeking a senior .NET full-stack developer to join an experienced team and shape enterprise solutions for health sector clients. You will lead technical design discussions, mentor peers, and own critical components from design through deployment while delivering robust, scalable software on the Microsoft stack.

Role requires 5+ years of commercial experience, strong C#/NET skills, Angular/React frontend, and solid SQL Server expertise; cloud and AI tooling

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant commercial experience in full-stack .NET development.
• Prior lead or senior developer experience, including mentoring and technical ownership.
• Strong C# and .NET skills across ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework.
• Front-end experience with Angular or React and solid HTML/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
• Strong SQL Server skills including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with cloud applications would be a bonus.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using C#/.NET across the back end and modern JavaScript frameworks on the front end.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions on new and existing systems.
• Translate client business requirements into well-documented technical solutions, including system design documents.
• Build and optimise data-driven features backed by Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Take responsibility for code quality — review code, uphold standards, and champion unit/integration testing.
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate developers, sharing knowledge through pairing and reviews.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and post-release support.
• Work directly with health-sector clients to scope enhancements and deliver responsive service.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices including CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
• Assist adoption of AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
