Nuclearinst is seeking a Naval Architect (N3) or Senior Naval Architect (N4) for their Marine Industrial Design team across various locations including Auckland, Whangarei, and Nelson. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering naval architecture solutions, mentoring others, and ensuring quality in design.

Responsibilities

• Design delivery ensuring quality, precision, and adherence to standards.
• Build strong client relationships and mentor emerging talent.
• Lead hands-on engineering and project leadership responsibilities.

Skills

Naval architecture design and analysis

CAD and 3D modelling proficiency

Marine engineering standards and compliance knowledge

Technical reporting and documentation

Education

Degree in Naval Architecture or related discipline

Professional engineering body registration or membership (e.g. RINA)

At least 3 years' naval architecture experience
