Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer - Airvo Mechanical Response to join a cross-functional mechanical design team focused on advancing respiratory care devices.

You will lead technical projects, mentor engineers, investigate issues, implement design improvements and improve reliability, performance and manufacturing yield in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with electrical and software specialists.

Qualifications

• Formal mechanical engineering qualification with demonstrated leadership.
• Strong problem-solving, investigations and issue resolution skills.
• Proficient in product testing and clear technical reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Foundational knowledge of plastics and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient CAD modelling using Creo/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work and deliver engineering outcomes.
• Conduct investigations and drive root cause analysis to resolution.
• Document testing results and write technical reports.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical and software.
