Job summary

Waikato Milking Systems, a global designer and manufacturer of dairy technology and milking systems, is seeking an experienced NPD engineer to join our New Product Development team in Hamilton, New Zealand.

You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver practical, reliable, and manufacturable solutions for dairy and industrial automation applications.

The role requires a mechanical or mechatronics degree and 7+ years of design experience; SolidWorks is preferred.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline; 7+ years' experience designing and developing electromechanical products.
• Proven experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
• Experience taking products from concept through to production.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• The ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
