Job summary

BDO Northland in Kerikeri seeks a Senior Manager in Business Advisory to lead client engagements and drive growth. You’ll work with Partners to deliver practical solutions, mentor staff and shape strategic direction for a diverse SME and farming client base.

You’ll operate with autonomy, manage workflows, and provide tax and structuring advice while building strong client relationships, with relocation support for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in Business Advisory, NZ public practice preferred.
• CA qualification and CA ANZ membership.
• Proven people leadership and coaching ability.
• Strong commercial, analytical and client-relationship skills.
• Long-term Northland career commitment.

Responsibilities

• Identify client issues and deliver commercially sound solutions.
• Provide business structuring, accounting and tax advice.
• Finalize high-level reviews with Partners/Directors.
• Manage own and team workflows with multiple priorities.
• Apply technical/industry expertise to support growth.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Develop technical or industry specialization aligned with client needs.
