Job summary

New Zealand Transport Agency is seeking a Senior Manager – Audit and Integrity to lead NZTA’s internal and investment audit programmes and the independent integrity function. Based in Auckland or Wellington, you will report to the Group General Counsel and be directly accountable to the Board for quality and independence of assurance activity.

You will drive credible, data-informed findings, influence governance, and foster a culture of accountability and delivery across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading internal audit, assurance or integrity functions in a large, complex environment.
• Proven ability to design and deliver risk-based audit programmes and integrated assurance frameworks at executive, Board and committee level.
• Deep understanding of internal audit standards, control frameworks and the Three Lines Model.
• Strong expertise in integrity, fraud and misconduct management including protection disclosures and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead NZTA's internal audit and investment audit programmes with independence and impact.
• Oversee integrity function, strengthening fraud prevention and investigations.
• Provide clear, evidence-based assurance to strengthen governance and transparency.
• Build capability and develop high-performing specialist teams.
