Job summary

Covenant Living is seeking a Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and light maintenance services across the facility, ensuring a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. The role includes following established schedules, infection-control guidelines, and assisting in linen handling and resident moves.

The ideal candidate will have some high school education and housekeeping or general maintenance experience, with good English communication and dependable, organized work habits.

Qualifications

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.
• Dependability, common sense, and ability to organize daily cleaning schedule.
• Interest in and desire to work with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning in assigned areas following schedule and infection-control standards.
• Complete minor maintenance (bulbs, toilets, batteries) as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks inside and outside per department standards.
• Maintain floors via sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, and buffing.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and project cleaning (walls, ceilings, vents, fixtures, windows).
• Move furniture and assist in resident moves during transfers/discharges.
• Participate in campus linen program and bed making as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs as needed.
