Job summary

Victoria University of Wellington is seeking a Kaituruki Matua - Senior Tutor to support the LAWS212 – Law of Torts course on a fixed-term, part-time contract. The role involves assisting with delivery of course content and supporting both staff and students.

Applicants should be law graduates or postgraduate law students with an LLB or equivalent, a strong academic record, and relevant professional experience. Visa status must be disclosed if required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 2 x blocks of 10 workshops in each trimester 1 and 2.
• Mark and provide feedback on a writing exercise in each trimester.
• Provide marking assistance for exams/tests at the end of each trimester.
• Attend all lectures (one stream) and distribute roll to students weekly.
• Run one hour of office hours in both trimesters 1 and 2 and two hours before tests/exams.
