Job summary

First Focus is seeking a Senior Support Technician to specialise in CORE, our managed IT and AI service. You’ll own a portfolio of CORE clients, provide senior L2/L3 support and drive AI and automation improvements that actually work for users.

You’ll combine strong traditional IT skills with practical AI delivery, mentoring others and collaborating with engineering to shape our AI-enabled managed support offerings across NZ.

Qualifications

• Senior L2/L3 support experience for CORE clients.
• Strong Microsoft infrastructure knowledge (Windows Server, AD, DNS, GPO, Azure, Entra, M365).
• Proven hands-on AI tool and automation delivery experience.
• Experience in MSP environments preferred.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior L2/L3 support and act as SME for CORE clients.
• Implement AI tools, agents, workflows and automation identified through CORE.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and mentoring other technicians.
• Document solutions and best practices for future reference.
• Drive AI-enabled improvements that are actually used by clients.
