Job summary

First Focus is seeking a Senior Support Technician to own a CORE client portfolio, delivering senior L2/L3 support while driving AI and automation improvements. You’ll combine strong Microsoft infrastructure skills with practical AI know-how to enhance client environments and outcomes.

The role blends hands-on technical work with AI-enabled enhancements, mentoring teammates, and collaborating with engineering teams across NZ locations in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Strong senior L2/L3 experience across Microsoft environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server, AD, DNS, GPO, Azure, Entra and M365.
• Broad infrastructure skills across endpoints, servers, networking, firewalls, virtualization, backup.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and automation, including ChatGPT, Claude and Power Automate.
• Experience implementing AI or automation solutions for real users preferred.
• MSP or multi-client experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, client service and technical judgement.
• Curiosity about new AI tools and their practical applications.

Responsibilities

• Providing senior L2/L3 support and acting as the technical SME for CORE clients.
• Supporting Microsoft environments across Windows Server, AD, Azure, Entra and M365.
• Troubleshooting across infrastructure, networking, cloud, backup, security and virtualization.
• Implementing AI tools, agents, workflows and automation identified through CORE.
• Working with technologies such as ChatGPT, Claude, Power Automate, M365 and SharePoint.
• Collaborating with engineering teams, mentoring other technicians and documenting things properly.
