Job summary

First Focus is seeking an experienced AI Automation & DevOps Developer in New Zealand. You’ll work across applied AI, automation and DevOps, building AI-enabled apps and intelligent workflows while integrating AI models with internal systems and APIs.

You’ll use AI tools in daily development, evaluate models and deploy secure, governance‑driven solutions that deliver measurable business value. The role offers opportunities to experiment and grow across AI, automation and software development.

Qualifications

• Commercial software development, automation or DevOps experience.
• Hands-on use of AI tools in the software development lifecycle.
• Experience deploying AI-enabled business solutions.
• Strong scripting and RESTful API development experience.
• Solid SQL/NoSQL database knowledge and data integration basics.

Responsibilities

• Work across applied AI, software development, automation and DevOps.
• Use AI-powered development tools to design, develop and test software.
• Evaluate AI models and platforms to fit business problems.
